Why we are known as "Catrachos"

Our history

People born in Honduras are called Hondurans, but we Hondurans like the colloquial called "Catracho" better, a name that was given to us in honor of General Florencio Xatruch.
His troops were known as the "Xatruches", however many could not pronounce the surname and began to call them "Catruches".
Little by little, the word was changing, until reaching the term known worldwide as "catracho", with which each compatriot identifies and accepts it in a good way.

In Chelsea authentic Honduran food.

Our typical Honduran food, in addition to being rich in flavor, is very varied, made up of a mixture of native culinary elements. Our typical Honduran dishes are made mostly from corn, followed by other important ingredients such as rice and beans. You will love her!
